Water and its power

First experiment

• The 5-6 year old children performed an experiment using the following materials: water, some brewed tea,sugar,two glasses and a teaspoon.

• Half of the two glasses are filled with water. Seven teaspoons of sugar is put in one of the glasses and mixed until the sugar dissolves. The brewed tea is added to the two glasses until the glasses are full. The tea in the glass with sugar collects in the upper half of the glass and does not mix with the water; on the other hand, it is observed that the tea in the other glass is mixed with the water.

Second experiment

• The 5-6 year old children performed an experiment using the following materials: water, 2 boiled eggs,two glasses,two glasses,some salt and a teaspoon

• Half of the two glasses are filled with water. Ten teaspoons of salt is put in one of the glasses and mixed until the salt dissolves. The boiled eggs are put into each glasses.It is observed the the egg in the glass with salt does not sink into the water but the other egg in the glass with no salt sinks into the water.
