Activity Description (Procedure)

In this project, by combining ECOLOGY with STEAM, we have proposed to contribute to increasing the degree of involvement of children and young people in actions to prevent and adapt to the phenomenon of climate change, the main objective being for the participants to discover how important are the laws of nature, the natural cycles  and how easily irreversible changes can be made through human intervention.
I took into consideration:
-Creating courses on ecological topics for librarians from the towns of Bălcești, Frîncești, Pietrari and Valea Mare;

- Eco-tech workshops for children and young people that will include presentations on ecological themes combined with the use of modern technologies (AppInventor, Arduino, Scratch, etc.), with experiments and scientific projects;

-Preparation of the Green-LIB Guide for the implementation of eco-tech activities in libraries;

-Visits and practical activities with specialists in ecology and environmental protection.
As part of the practical visits with specialists in ecology and environmental protection, we organized an expedition to the Buila-Vanturarita Park, with the rangers. 
The children learned new information from various fields - biology, geology, geography, but they also experienced piloting a drone.
